Day 1, Wed. BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT
TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.
Day 2, Thu. ARRIVAL IN SARAJEVO,
BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA.
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
The balance of the day is at leisure. Tonight, enjoy a

Day 3, Fri. SARAJEVO.
Sarajevo, the capital city of the Republic of Bosnia and
Herzegovina, has been influenced by a number of cultures
and civilizations. On your city tour, visit the picturesque
Turkish bazaar Bas Carsija, the Husref Bays
Mosque, Olympic Stadium and Sarajevo War Tunnel Museum.

Day 4, Sat. SARAJEVO / MOSTAR
/ DUBROVNIK, CROATIA.
Drive through the gorge of the River Neretva to Mostar,
where you will see the remains of the Turkish quarter
and the reconstructed 16th-century stone bridge. Cross
the Croatian border to Dubrovnik. (B,D)
NOTE: Because of the narrow and
historic roads in Dubrovnik, walking is the primary way
of getting around. Pack good walking shoes.
Day 5, Sun. DUBROVNIK.
Dubrovnik is an architectural marvel, over 1,000 years
old. As you enter its gates, you feel as if you are stepping
back in time cross a wooden bridge past the gate
towers, wind your way through the inner gate and enter
on to the Placa, the gleaming limestone street that runs
straight to the entrance gates at the other end of the
town. Your city tour includes the Rectors Palace,
Bell Tower clock, Orlandos Column and the Sponza
Palace. You will also see the Dominican Monastery and
Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, one of the oldest
in the world. After the tour you may want to visit St.
Blaises Cathedral or the open farmers market.
During the summer months (July and August), Dubrovnik
is host to one of the oldest and most popular Summer Festivals
in Europe, with a number of outstanding theater and music
companies performing at various open air venues around

Day 6, Mon. DUBROVNIK / SPLIT.
Depart Dubrovnik and travel north along the spectacular
Adriatic coast, past old fishing villages and new resorts,
to Split. Enjoy a city tour featuring the historic inner
city, built around Roman Emperor Diocletians Palace,
a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See remnants of
Splits Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic
structures, Jupiters Temple, the Peristyle and the
Cathedral. (B,D)
Day 7, Tue. SPLIT / TROGIR
/ ZADAR / PLITVICE LAKES.
Along the coast to Trogir, a center of artistic activities,
where scholars from around the world gather to study and
paint. Then, on to Zadar, the oldest Slavic city on the
Adriatic. Enjoy an orientation tour that includes the
ruins of the Roman Forum, the Cathedral and St. Donat
Church. Continue inland towards beautiful Plitvice Lakes
National Park. (B,D)
Day 8, Wed. PLITVICE LAKES.
Plitvice Lakes National Park, listed in UNESCOs
register of the World Heritage, is a system of emerald
green lakes connected by waterfalls and cascades. Enjoy
a full day in the breathtaking scenery of this natural
wonder, with 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded
mountains and lush vegetation. In the morning, theres
a walking tour around several of the lakes. The rest of

Day 9, Thu. PLITVICE LAKES
/ OPATIJA / POSTOJNA, SLOVENIA/ BLED.
Return to the coast to beautiful Kvarner Bay and its popular
resort town, Opatija. Then, head north to Postojna, home
of one of the largest caves in Europe. Tour this fantastic
subterranean world by miniature electric train. Afterwards,
your journey continues to Bled, beautifully situated in
the Julian Alps. (B,D)
Day 10, Fri. BLED.
An Alpine lake surrounded by the high peaks, Bled was
discovered by travelers in the middle of the
19th century. Since then, a small town of beautiful hotels,
villas and restaurants has developed around the lake,
turning Bled into a lively all seasons resort. A morning
sightseeing tour features the town of Bled with the lakeshore
and includes a visit to Bled Castle, perched on a cliff
high above the lake and surrounded by Julian Alps. The
balance of the day is at leisure to shop, relax or join

Day 11, Sat. BLED / LJUBLJANA
/ ZAGREB, CROATIA.
Travel to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, founded
by Illyrians between 1000 and 500 BC. Its edifices and
monuments are witnesses of its long history. See the Baroque
Old Town, the City Hall, Robba's Fountain, the Three Bridges,
Parliament and the open-air market on a sightseeing tour.
Then, on to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia since 1557.
The Upper Town is one of the best maintained medieval
cities in Europe, with museums, galleries and numerous
monuments. Your sightseeing tour will take you along the
historic Upper Town to see St. Marks Church, St.
Catherines Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament
and the Government Palace. The rest of the day is at leisure.
