Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is venturing into tropical territory, with the Riviera Maya providing an exotic backdrop for a new addition to the brand's portfolio. The Fairmont Mayakoba, Riviera Maya, will be part of the Mayakoba resort community development situated along the Caribbean coastline.
Located approximately 40 miles south of Cancun near the town of Playa del Carmen, on the Tulum corridor in the province of Quintana Roo, this rapidly growing tourist destination is renowned for its pristine beaches, lush forest, Mayan ruins and premier diving and snorkeling. In addition to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' 401-room resort property, the Mayakoba resort development will also house five additional hotel sites, two golf courses and residential properties.
